Dear Patrons and Friends of First Coast Opera,
I’m thrilled to share that I will be attending the Opera America conference in Memphis, Tennessee, from May 20th through May 24th! This annual gathering is a cornerstone event in the opera world, bringing together professionals from across the country to share insights, ideas, and inspiration—and I’m honored to be representing First Coast Opera as our Development Director.
This year’s conference promises to be especially enriching. I’ll be diving into sessions focused on arts administration, fundraising best practices, community engagement strategies, and season programming—all essential topics for growing and sustaining a small but vibrant opera company like ours. Memphis, with its rich cultural and artistic heritage, is the perfect setting to spark creativity and forge new connections.
I’m also looking forward to meeting and learning from fellow opera professionals—sharing the unique story of First Coast Opera and bringing back fresh ideas and partnerships to help us flourish.
