actor/singer/director Walter Hook has performed more than 200 roles in all the
various phases of the performing arts. Listed in "Who's Who in the World of
Opera" he has performed more than 80 roles with 6 World Premiers, 4
American Premiers and 2 New York Premiers to his credit and won a $10,000 Grant
from The National Opera Institute in Washington, D.C. Also, he is Recorded on
RCA, CBS Masterworks, CRI, Desto, United Artists, and Atlantic Labels.
In the field of Musical
Theater he has been on Broadway in 6 shows, in 3 Broadway National Touring
companies and one Broadway International Company. He won The "Jeff"
Award in
Chicago
for The Best Actor of the Year in a Musical for his portrayal of Emile DeBecque
in "South Pacific" and was nominated for same for "The King &
I" and "Kismet".
Walter was seen on the TNT
Movie of the week with Vanessa Redgrave in "Orpheus Descending",
and as a Most Wanted criminal on "Unsolved Mysteries" as well as
"Sea Quest DSV" and "Super Boy". He has performed
with the Jacksonville Symphony, regularly at the Alhambra Dinner Theatre
and is a soloist at Christ Episcopal Church in Ponte Vedra, Florida.
