Sean Patrick O'Casey

Sean
Patrick O’Casey, Stage Director, the great-nephew of playwright Sean Patrick
O’Casey, was born in Dublin, Ireland, and grew up in London.
He was educated at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and Kent State
in Ohio where he earned a B.F.A. in Theatre and a B.S. in television.
Sean did graduate work at the Cleveland Institute of Art and St. John’s
College, and earned his M.F.A. from the University of Mississippi.
He has taught at Ole Miss, Southeast Missouri State University, Ursuline
College and Kent State, and is presently on the faculty at Flagler College and
St. Johns River Community College. Sean has directed and designed for such
theatres as the Cleveland Play House, Chauttaqua Institution, Henry Ford Museum,
the Cleveland Institute of Music, “Opera a la Carte”, the Northern Ohio
Opera Association and theatres, colleges and opera companies throughout the U.S.
and U.K. Sean
was a founding member of the Central Florida Civic Opera in Orlando and of the Emil
Maestre Music Association in St. Augustine.
He is a professional costume designer and provides costumes for theatres
throughout the U.S. and U.K.
