Jim Goodell, bass-baritone

Jim Goodell, bass-baritone, began his vocal and performance training at Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Winchester, Virginia where he studied under Soprano, Donna Gulstrand.  Performances ranged from dramatic acting roles to opera, including the Stranger in “The Glass Menagerie” and the Jailer in “The Beggar’s Opera”.  Jim also performed numerous solo and ensemble programs in the Virginia area.  Upon returning to his home in Madison, New Jersey, Jim performed with the North Jersey Repertory Company in dramatic and comedic acting roles and with the Lubo Opera Company in their performance of “Tosca”.

Since moving to Jacksonville in 1994, he has performed in solo, voice acting and choral roles with the Jacksonville Symphony as well as in concert and operatic settings with the First Coast Opera Company. Jim has also performed in the Alhambra Dinner Theater’s production of “1776” and performs widely across the North Florida area as a Church soloist.
