David L.
Stork, baritone,
has performed more than forty opera and musical theater roles throughout
Florida and the Midwest. He has appeared in roles ranging from Don
Giovanni, Sulpice in The Daughter of the Regiment, and Escamillo in Carmen,
to the Judge in Trial by Jury and Father Virgil in Nunsense
III. He has performed with many opera companies and choral societies,
and is in great demand as an oratorio soloist. Among the companies with
which has performed as soloist are Michigan Opera Theater, Toledo Symphony and
Choral Society, the Florida Symphony, Orlando Opera, Cartersville Opera and
Seaside Music Theater. With FCO, he has appeared as Papageno, the Father
in Hansel and Gretel (which he also directed), Sharpless in Madama Butterfly,
and numerous concerts. He has been an instructor of voice at Daytona Beach
Community College since 1988, has an active private voice studio and is active
in the Music Ministry of Unity Church in Daytona Beach. David
is very proud of his son, Sean, who regularly appears with his father in First
Coast Opera productions and attends Florida State University.
