Adam Mayo, lyric baritone

Adam Mayo has performed in numerous First Coast Opera productions, including Cabaret Español, The Pirates Of Penzance (Samuel), Master Class (Stagehand), Cabaret Parisien, Babes In Toyland (Gonzorgo), HMS Pinafore, The Mikado and Trial By Jury. He also directed Romanza: Songs Of Love and Cabaret Español. He’s also Vice President of FCO’s Board of Directors working on production, marketing. His prior stage background includes Man of La Mancha (Barber/Moor Chief) at Limelight Theatre, Jesus Christ Superstar (King Herod), The Little Prince (King/Snake), among others. Locally, he has been a soloist with St. Augustine Community Chorus, St. Augustine Singers and First Coast Chorus in Jacksonville. Adam has also been a guest gospel soloist at many churches and events throughout the Southeast. His favorite moment, however, was being a winner on the 28th Annual Foreigners Singing Contest, a primetime TV special in Japan. Besides singing, he enjoys writing, having had his poetry, stories and essays published in Europe, North America and Japan.
